You may as well have some good versions.
Leonard Cohen - my priest at college used to love Leonard Cohen. I am uneducated and do not get it.
Jeff Buckley
The Dresden Dolls
K.D. Lang
Rufus Wainright
Glen Hansard & Markéta Irglová - this is my favourite;
cidercupcakes gave it me. They keep forgetting the words and giggling. It's adorable.
And while I'm doing this I might as well upload some versions of Fairytale of New York.
The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl
Stars - this one is really good.
Christy Moore - I love Christy Moore, even though he sings both parts.

And I love Leonard Cohen, but his version of Hallelujah is definitely kind of uninspiring.
Which is sad, but also hilarious.
There was a site I ran across once that was collecting like ever cover of that song and dividing based on the version of lyrics used.
Apparently there's like eighty verses altogether.
I always get his one confused with Rufus Wainwright.
^^ john cale & a string quartet hurrah
the cohen version makes more sense if you realise he spent two decades making records with deliberately dodgy muzak backings
the wainwright one really annoys me because i) it sounds EXACTLY like cale's piano-solo one that got licensed in a shitload of films ii) it was recorded the year cale started to refuse permission to use it in films
