Protip: get drunk before seeing Watchmen

I genuinely do not have the mental distance to be able to tell if that was a good film or not. The comic is too big an influence on me. It was a pretty decent adaptation, even though Zach Synder does this thing with slo-mo and close ups that makes sex and violence more graphic and I really hate it. Seriously, if you cut that shit out you could have fit the corner people in. Someone earlier was saying there was too much blood before the climax and too little blood during and I totally agree.

So we had a bit of alcohol before seeing it. We would have had some more during the film only the checkout lady decided I didn't look 18 and would let me buy anything. I'm twenty fucking five, lady! I think the entire audience hated us because we burst out laughing whenever there was a mysterious hobo in the back of the shot, and basically every single time Jeffrey Dean Morgan was on sceen. Seriously, it must have been fucking distracting. Eventually they all joined in, just in time. You guys lied to me! The sex scene is a work of comic genius! I fucking cried laughing. I will never again be able to listen to Hallelujah without laughing.

Oh no, not copious fornication!

The Question is a perfectly remorseless because perfectly just character. Moore decided to portray him as a nutbag.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. I rly don't need to add anything there.

I will admit there were a couple of times I went 'Jesus, that line is cheesy... wait, that's from the comic!'

Originally, Moore was writing for some Charlton Comics characters (which DC had bought the rights too) until a point where they decided they wanted them usuable afterwards...

So Night Owl is Blue Beetle (and a word without Booster/Beetle is as scary as one with added Nixon), Rorshach you know already and Doc Manhattan is very tenuously related to Captain Atom.
