Family tree

I should never have agreed to do up a family tree for my mother.
  1. There should be a limit to how many Stephens you can have in a family. That limit should be under twelve. Twelve, ffs!

  2. Honora isn't a real name.

  3. I am worried by the number of my ancestors who married someone with the same surname as themselves.

I guess I'm lucky I'm not Stephanie or something.

My parents liked Helen.

(also, dosk has posted his virtual dalek animation thing - I think it wins)

In my family tree, there's a spread of three or four generations in a row of first cousin to first cousin marriages.

Sometimes I fear that this might explain some things.

I've got a Stephen and Honora of the same surname who ran off to Australia.

GEE I WONDER WHY THEY DID THAT. ESPECIALLY SINCE IT'S HIS SISTER'S NAME.

Somewhere a many times great aunt or grandmother of yours is turning over in her grave because she thought THAT skeleton-in-the-closet was safely locked away in Australia where no one would ever find it.

(I have some very odd things happening in my family tree as well. So far I have no explanations except "We'll tell you when you come over to visit us here.")
