I saw Signs. It was a bad idea. Dad says it's the only time he's ever heard me scream at a movie (since growing up, anyway). It's not my fault. That basement was very dark & the hand grabbed suddenly at that little boy.

And anyway, everyone jumped when our washing machine started beeping in the kitchen. I hate it when freaky things happen while I'm watching creepy films.

Like when I watched the Village at midnight with the back door wide open. That was also a bad idea. Nor was walking past the kitchen on my way up to bed afterward & seeing a flash of red from a towel left on the counter.

I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life.

"Signs" is not scary. It is not scary. Yawnsome, yes; scary, no. And I saw it in the cinema and spent the whole movie deconstructing it to get away from the sheer toe-curdling boredom.
