For some reason I have completely OD'd on british post-apocalyptic sci-fi over the past week or so. I was always a massive fan of Day of the Triffids, and I was dead pleased with the new adaptation. Even though I was left thinking that Eddie Izzard needed a hug which I am 90% sure wasn't what they were going for.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO WATCH SURVIVORS RIGHT NOW. THERE IS MORE IN A WEEK. YOU CAN CATCH UP! I love it really hard. To my surprise (and delight) there is only one white guy in the main cast, and he is a horrible, scary, adorable sociopath. Paterson Joseph plays a guy who is Batman levels of prepared. The mum looking for her kid is wonderfully bossy. The doctor lady is great. The kid is lovely; he quite likes life after the apocalypse because people let him keep chickens! And then there's the rich guy who misses his laptop the most.

Seriously go watch it there are like six episodes.
