After the pub quiz last night (we came second - woohoo!) New!Brian took us to this night club he knows around by Regent Street. I went, despite my general misgivings about nightclubs. Why do I do these things?
First they wouldn't let us in until Brian was there. The people on the door looked suspiciously like the Russian mafia. This was the first point where I thought we should leave. I would have found this funny if not for the inside.
It looked like every rap video you've ever seen. I swear. This was ok until I realised I was dancing near a guy with the scar from a GUNSHOT WOUND in his HEAD. That was the second point where I thought maybe we should go. This is also where I send my legendary attitude home for the night. I have never seen genuinely scary people before.
Then as if that wasn't enough, while I was in the bathroom a guy with a Russian accent burst in & started shouting at the woman keeping an eye on the place (stay in the stall. Keep quiet). Once they'd stopped screaming at each other I opened the door to find him outside, where he decided to proposition me (smile & keep walking). He followed me as far as the outside door & then started yelling obscenities at me (walk faster). We left pretty soon after that, though I didn't want to scare everyone by mentioning that.
End result? I am NEVER GOING CLUBBING AGAIN.
