Mum came to London yesterday, ostensibly to get my passport sorted out, but really to shop.
Cue an hour & a half sitting in the passport office, which is across the road from Harrods. If we were going to Harrods, I insisted on visiting the pet section. Then we did Oxford Street. Mum is a very difficult person to stop from shopping once she has decided thats what she wants to do. I swear I spent half my childhood in random shops going "Can we go home yet?"
Rob wandered in before she left (yes he knew she'd be there. I'm not that cruel), got nervous & started babbling. I have NEVER seen him do that before. He usually tries to bullshit his way out of situations. I spent the entire time laughing. Mum thought it was cute though. They had a very interesting babble-conversation about concrete.
No, really.
She told me that he was nothing like she'd expected, but that was a good thing.
Thanks, mum.
