My one good American politics story (or how Granny broke the Roosevelt's bathroom)

Many, many years ago my Great Aunt Bess was the Roosevelt's housekeeper for their house in Long Island. My Grandmother made the trip to America for a visit & stayed with them. When she was going running a bath she was told to only use one teaspoon of bath salts. She thought to herself 'Bess isn't usually stingy, I wonder what that's about?' & promptly tipped quite a bit more into the bath.

When the bubbles hit the ceiling, she knew she was in trouble.
