Best. Excuse. Ever!
Today I got to use the best excuse ever. For the uninitiated, it is 'Sorry I'm late, I was showing a nun how to use the record function on her mp3 player'. At least Sr Brid has figured out how to play things on it. Not having a good record with nuns this week. At tea on Wednesday about ten of us decided that the hat that had been left in the room looked particularly aerodynamic, so we played catch with it. We recognised it, but couldn't remember who was usually under it. Was it Julia, maybe? A few minutes later Sister Catherine came in & asked 'has anyone seen my... oh. You have.' Oops. Noelle's hat just wasn't as good. Not even when she was piggy in the middle.
Accidents update: burned my hand on the stove last night (stove is an Irish oven, like a cupboard is called a press). Hand now bright pink & beginning to blister. It's quite interesting when the doctors freak out. 'Go put your hand under the cold tap for FIVE MINUTES. Now! Go!' & then start shooing you.
Setting Noelle up with Leigh tonight. A little worried that I've possibly done a very bad thing.
